My films and I do not qualify for most of the financing options available. Private investors are elusive and operate within closed networks inaccessible to outsiders. Which brings us to the only viable solution: CROWDFUNDING.

The challenge is not the platform — it is building the crowd.

We have ideas on how to build the crowd, create a buzz & excitement, and generate interest in potential funder's by raising the quality, usability, and uniqueness of the rewards that crowdfunder's receive for their support.

I also initiated an advocate program for people to support us with only their time.

Financing Reality

There is no shortage of resources explaining how to make a film. What is missing are clear, honest paths to financing one.

This project does not qualify for traditional funding avenues — grants, tax incentives, pre-sales or negative pickup deals, or fiscal sponsorships—options commonly cited by industry platforms. For truly independent filmmakers, those doors are often closed.

That leaves two possibilities: private investors and crowdfunding. After more than fifteen years of searching, private investors have proven elusive, often operating within closed networks inaccessible to outsiders.

Which brings us to the only viable solution: crowdfunding.

The challenge is not the platform — it is building the crowd.

That is where you come in.

Before we launch the crowdfunding campaign, I invite you to help spread the word — share this project with your circles using the assistive, sharable assets. Please point others to this website and the Paint, Movie facebook page, and invite them to like, follow, and join the excitement. Whether through prayer, sharing, or support. Every contribution matters.

Reward Ideas

There is a expectation, in the crowdfunding world, that supporters are offered some sort of reward in return for their donation. Most importantly, supporters want to feel involved and be recognized that their contribution matters.

Most filmmakers, that I have viewed on crowdfunding platforms, offer simplistic items that fulfill the supporters basic needs such as digital items, access to private pre-release areas, stickers, a mention on their social media, and your name scrolling through the credits.

We are wanting to offer useful items — products you can actually use in your every day life that you can proudly showcase your support for an independent film.

The below items are possible rewards that might be stand-alone or included in a bundle. Each bundle has different items of equal or lesser level. Our hope is to generate a want and need for items in two bundles of the same value that you pledge twice garnering items that you cherish and proudly showcase your support to others. Items may be removed and new ones added depending on what other cool things we find and feedback from potential sponsors. What would get you to back our film project?

I am offering "Paint" film titled swag: T-shirt, deck of playing cards, beach towel, hanging banner, movie poster (with your name on it thanking your for your support), and possibly more to 5 people who bring the most people (200+) to follow Paint, Movie facebook page.

the people must be on the follow list when the tally is finished
the people following must comment on the page that you sent them (must have your full name, cannot take word, and no way to know who sent some unless they comment on the page that you sent them. And of course you need to be a follower)
